I grew up in California, but on my first trip to Columbia a butterfly landed on my finger while walking around the Vista, (what a surreal moment!) and I knew this was where I was meant to be. Sure enough, I met my wife shortly after moving here. She is an amazing nurse, wife, and mom to our son.
My favorite procedures are breast and body plastic surgery. I enjoy helping people on their journey to take a body that was changed by pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight changes, and get them back to look the way they feel on the inside: unique, and amazing.

What are my surgical options?
Arm Lift & Leg Lift
There are two components to the tissue being removed: skin, and fat. The first thing to consider is the fat, as this will dictate how much skin needs to be removed (if any).
The fat is typically removed with liposuction, either directly in the area of interest or circumferentially around the arm/leg to decrease the overall size/shape. If performing liposuction is enough, and the skin has enough elastic quality, you may not need any other incisions.
Once the fat is removed the skin can be addressed. For patients with moderate to severe excess, surgical excision is the best option. If the skin is only mildly lax, performing energy tightening can be a good option.
The procedure takes around 2 1/2 - 3 hrs total and is an outpatient surgery, meaning you go home the same day, usually within 2-3 hours after the surgery.
Liposuction
"Wide awake lipo": This procedure utilizes some of the most modern advances in local anesthetics to completely numb the area. It is frequently combined with mild sedation, usually taking pain or anxiety medications beforehand to allow for a more relaxed experience. This can be done in the office. One of the benefits is being able to watch the dramatic transformation happen! The ideal candidate has a few areas of concern without large amounts of skin excess.
Problem Areas: This procedure focuses on a few areas that are more full and possibly have more skin excess than a typical "wide awake" patient. The most common areas are the tummy, hips, arms/legs, back, and submental (double chin). Patients frequently have 2-3 areas of concern and usually elect to go to sleep for this procedure to allow for a more thorough fat removal and skin tightening.
Full/circumferential: For patients who have a more diffuse fatty tissue deposit, this can be a great option! Circumferential liposuction involves removing fat from the tummy, sides, hips, and back to allow a 360-degree tightening of the skin and fatty tissue around the core. The results can be pretty dramatic, and frequently patients need to get a new size wardrobe within a few weeks of surgery.
Skin tightening: most patients do well with lipo alone, however, if you have excess skin, or cellulite, combining it with a skin tightening procedure can really help get the final appearance you are looking for.
Fat grafting: is another adjunct to liposuction where the fat that was removed can be placed back into the body (breasts, buttocks) to naturally accentuate curves without having to use implants.
The procedure takes around 1 1/2 hrs per site treated and is usually an outpatient surgery (go home the same day), within 2-3 hours after the surgery.
